Rachel Solomon

I specialize in family and children's mental health and use a variety of techniques including art and play therapy to help children overcome challenging barriers.
I primarily work with children and families to support healthy family systems and create experiences that counteract trauma and loss, and I work with individuals and couples to develop meaningful connections and mental health wellness.
I earned my Masters Degree in Psychology, Couple & Family Therapy from Antioch University and my experience providing therapeutic services extends to family members and adults alike.
I help:
youth with developing coping skills
parents with building healthy relationships with children
siblings with forming stronger bonds
and everyone with discovering a sense of healing

Session details
I offer sessions Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm, and at the moment, I currently only provide COVID-safe virtual sessions.
I am a private pay practice and out-of-network with the majority of insurance providers.
I believe in finding the right client-therapist fit and recommend scheduling a free 20-minute consultation before committing to a longer session.

My purpose is to engage the potential of all of my clients through openness, commitment, humor, and interaction.
How I approach therapy
The foundation of my approach comes from a systemic, client-centered, attachment lens. I am inclusive and connecting with clients of all identities regarding age, race, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, class, spirituality, and religion brings meaning to my work. With each client, I look to work collaboratively to address their specific therapy needs and desires, taking into consideration how culture, early childhood, and support systems impact children and families as they build towards mental wellness.
Authentic connections and trust is key
Through sharing stories, play, and art, clients can grow from their individual strengths and develop new tools to manage stressors and take on challenges. My hope is that through these steps and experiences, empowerment, growth, and healing may occur.
